Team Backspace

Backspace Escape Rooms has a fantastic, fun, sporty, puzzle-crazy and enthusiastic team (we think 😉 ). Some of us you will meet when you come to play an escape room with us. Others are working hard behind the scenes to give you a fantastic experience. For example, building beautiful decors, fixing things, coming up with new puzzles. Curious about who we are? Come and visit us or read the bits below.

Team Backspace

Robine

Robine is an appalled puzzle fanatic and loves all things puzzle-related, including absolutely escape rooms. The endless creativity of escape rooms and the psychological and geeky aspect of them are right up her alley. She ended up at Backspace by playing a few of their rooms and has been thoroughly enjoying being part of the friendly team for a long time now.

Jaimy

Hello, it's Jaimy speaking! During the day she likes to crack her brain over philosophical musings, but in the evening she prefers to watch others crack their brains in one of the rooms. Pretty good balance. So to spot Jaimy in the wild, it's best to come in the evening!

Rebecca

As a Forensic Science student, puzzling and figuring things out suits Rebecca just fine. So she feels right at home here at Backspace Escape Rooms! If you can't figure something out, she is more than happy to help you crack the code!

Twan

Twan came, saw and overcame many creative and technical challenges. He has been active at Backspace since the doors first opened. With his background as a product designer and all-round mentality, you can leave anything to him, but he prefers to put the icing on the proverbial cake. Enjoy your meal!

Elise

Elise has been a familiar face at Backspace for over two and a half years. Besides studying Clinical Engineering, she enjoys playing escape rooms, although that usually ends with the ‘too late...’ sign in her hands. Whether she works behind the scenes or plays a room herself, she always puts on a good mood!

Diederik

Diederik is the founder of Backspace and has been meddling in (almost) everything ever since. The Sherlock Holmes room used to be his personal favourite and he is a great opponent of arithmetic puzzles. Only, in practice, his puzzles don't always turn out to be as logical as he thinks...

Suzanne

Via a strange diversions, Suzanne came into her own at Backspace after studying Cultural Heritage. Yet Escape Rooms with a historical theme continue to fascinate her. She came in as an intern, but has since become a permanent part of the team. With her illustrations and graphic design, she makes Backspace a little more beautiful every day.
